Cookie Cutter Social Media Campaign/Computer Science
Create a 3D cookie cutter with your Bitmoji.
I used this lesson in Digital Marketing and Computer Science I.
Computer Science I
CSPG.Y1.7.2
Research advancing and emerging technologies (e.g., artificially intelligent agents, blockchain, extended reality, Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, robotics)
We used the GCode of our cookie cutters to learn how to manipulate the 3D printers. By adding M600 under a Layer line, you can pause the printer to switch PLA. In my case, I just taught the kids how to change the code. This video from NWA3D teaches you how to manipulate the GCode. NWA3D also has instructions to teach you how to restart a failed print.
Digital Marketing
Performance Indicator 5.3
Develop a social media campaign.
My class created the cookie cutter. We went to a local community college with a culinary program and tested our cookie cutters. After we returned, students worked on their social media campaign for their cookie cutters. They had to include:
- Logo
- Packaging of their cookie cutter
- A label for their package
- 3 different social media post for 3 types of social media
- One post had to be a video
- Demonstration of cookie cutter using play-doh
- Website for their business with a name and slogan. Product/service message had to be clear and a theme developed on the website carried over to social media post and packaging.

Tinkercad.com
Cookiecad.com ( I found this recently online. It is awesome to use, but when I added my bitmojis, I still needed to reinforce the back of the cutter in Tinkercad to avoid losing parts of my face.)

Convert your Bitmoji to SVG
Tinkercad has added a step-by-step on making a cookie cutter in their online program. You could still design it in Canva and convert it as an SVG.
Tip: Using the SVG File of their Bitmoji , students can also import the SVG file into Silhouette Cameo Studio and cut a vinyl sticker.
